The past 18 years Marco has been helping new and established companies shape the early, pioneering stages of transformations in healthcare, incl. Genentech, Affymetrix, the IFC/Worldbank, and others. Excited about the potential of Health 2.0 to accelerate the time to peak- adoption of new innovations for patient care, Marco joined forces with the Health 2.0 Group in 2008 and became President of Health 2.0 Advisors in 2009. Health 2.0 Advisors uses its unique market intelligence and connections (from nascent startups to Fortune 50 companies and e.g. Todd Park, the CTO of HHS) to help organizations of all sizes develop strategies to “Skate to where the puck is going, not to where it is” in rapidly changing health- related markets. Areas of particular expertise/recent projects include the impact of unplatforms (the combination of mobile, cloud- computing, and analytics) on physicians, patients, and employers, consumer health devices, pharma’s response to Health 2.0 opportunities & threats, business model innovation, EMRs, HIE, care delivery innovation, semantic search, technology platforms, and new patient engagement models. |
